Karan is a Ph.D. candidate in the Mechanical Engineering department. His research theme is extending flight time of multirotors via novel concepts and design. His projects involve a combination of mechanical/electrical design, state estimation, disturbance rejection and sensor fusion. He did his undergrad in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, with a minor in Systems and Control Engineering.
